GIIAS 2025's Explosive New Lineup


An explosive LINEUP was presented at this year's Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. Since its inception in 1986, the opening series of GIIAS 2025 was attended by 63 automotive brands. And, 39 of them are passenger car brands. This number is a new record and exceeds the composition of GIIAS 2024. Interestingly, the composition of the manufacturers includes new variants, debut brands, and modernized old units. As for the composition of the new unit variants that are on the floor, it consists of:
1. New BAIC Variant

BAIC is bringing 10 flagship vehicles. Confirmed models include the BAIC B40 Plus, BJ30, and X55 II. The engine options offered include a hybrid, like the BJ30's. In addition to the hybrid engine, the BJ30 also features a 4x4 drivetrain, making it efficient in off-road terrain.
2. New BMW Variants

BMW is enhancing the appeal of its gallery with four new models. Of the models on display, the confirmed models are the BMW iX1 EV concept SUV and the BMW i5. A total of 19 units will be on display.
3. BYD's New Variant

Like other brands, BYD has also launched a new variant of the Seagull. Its specifications are:
- The battery uses a 30 kWh Blade Battery.
- The power generated is 55 kW with a maximum torque of 135 NM.
- The range of movement reaches 305 km for one electric charge.
- The price tag ranges from IDR 218 million to IDR 233 million per unit.
4. New Chery Variant

To welcome this year's exhibition, Chery is offering new units in an environmentally friendly powertrain concept. The formats are Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). The gallery will also show the Chery C5 amplification. Its 6-Speed Dual Clutch transmission. Its power is 108 kW with 210 Nm of torque.

5. New DFSK Variant
DFSK displayed a total of six units, including the Seres 3 and Seres E1. The Seres 3 currently has a 53.61 kWh battery with a range of 412 km. The DFSK Seres E1 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 13.8 kWh to 16.8 kWh. The unit can travel up to 220 km.
6. New Honda Variants

Honda also utilized the expansive exhibition gallery with a 13-unit lineup, including EVs. They also launched the Honda StepWGN e:HEV model. This unit is based on the Hybrid e:HEV. It produces 143 hp and 175 Nm of torque.
7. New Hyundai Variants

Hyundai is introducing a new unit concept, The Real Indonesian Car. The latest model will be introduced as a unit developed and manufactured in Indonesia. Its design is claimed to be tailored to the needs and driving activities of Indonesians.
8. Varian Baru Jetour

In order to attract the attention of the domestic market, Jetour also showcased the Dashing and X70 variants. They also brought the T Series variant. Currently, Dashing is equipped with a 1.5L Turbocharged gasoline engine, Dual Clutch Transmission. Its power is 156 PS with 230 NM of torque. The Jetour X70 has a 1.5L Petrol Engine, 4-Cylinder, 16-Valve engine block. Its power is 156 HP and its torque is 230 NM.
9. New Kia Variants

Kia has launched the EV3 variant, developed on the E-GMP platform. Its technology is modern and includes ADAS. The EV3 has an 81.4 kWh battery, produces 204 hp and 283 Nm of torque, and has a range of up to 605 km.

10. New Mazda Variants
Mazda is presenting a Large SUV and Small SUV concept. Many claim these units are CX-80 variants. For the Indonesian market, these units could feature a 2.5L e-Skyactiv G system complete with a 48V Mild Hybrid system.
11. New Mercedes-Benz Variants

Mercedes-Benz also presented an interesting concept. They offered a convertible top. The performance of this car is also very high. This car is their newest model. The physical option is presented in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet.
12. New Variant of Morris Garage

Morris Garage, or MG, is fully engaged with plans to display 13 of its vehicles. One of the models is the MG ES5 EV. The ES5 EV features an electric motor capable of producing up to 170 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. It has a range of 425 to 525 km.
13. New Nissan Variants

Nissan introduced a very modern car technology with high speed in the form of the Nissan Formula E Gen 3. The presence of this variant confirms their total status and success in developing EV technology.
14. New Mitsubishi Variants

Mitsubishi presents the family unit concept. This unit has a strong sense of adventure with the concept of "ready to discover your next destination." The unit's real label is the Destinator with 7 seats. The engine mix is 1.5L MIVEC 4A91 4-cylinder.

15. New Subaru Variants
Subaru introduced its latest SUV, the 6th-Generation Forester. In addition to the 1.8L Turbo engine, it's also available with a hybrid system. It produces 194 hp. This variant embodies the "For Every Journey" philosophy.
16. New Toyota Variants

Toyota also showcased EV and hybrid models. The EV lineup includes three new variants, including the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV). The hybrid variant offered is the latest GR Hybrid. There's also an urban concept, the Urban Cruiser EV.
17. New Volvo Variants

Volvo filled its stand with the latest models. The units range from EV to plug-in hybrid technology. The variants are the EX30 and EX90. The EX30 requires 17 kWh of electricity per 100 km and has a range of up to 476 km. Unit prices range from Rp 890 million to Rp 1.16 billion.
